Warren County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

Warren County Casa Director, Melissa Perduk

CASA (kä´sa) noun: an ordinary individual in our community making an extraordinary impact in the life of an abused or neglected child.

When a child is hurt by those who are supposed to protect him, our CASA volunteers stand up to ensure the child's voice is heard.

There are so many unique and appealing aspects to being a CASA volunteer. Statistics show CASA volunteers come from all walks of life and possess a variety of professional, educational and ethnic backgrounds. There are more than 70,000 CASA volunteers nationally. Local programs vary in number of volunteers utilized. Aside from their CASA volunteer work, 64 % are employed in fulltime or part-time jobs; the majority tend to be professionals with 58% college or university graduates. And, 82% of volunteers nationwide are women.

I invite you to make a difference in a child's life.
